Westchester County Clippers

     Going into its third year the Westchester County Clippers (WCC), a Nonprofit Baseball Organization, has been recognized as one of the leading baseball travel programs in Westchester County and the surrounding tri-state area.

     The WCC strives to provide a program which fulfills all the requirements of an outstanding baseball organization. The players are encouraged to be competitive under the direction of experienced coaches with an emphasis on sportsmanship and teamwork. In addition the players participate in a winter training and conditioning program, which emphasizes not only game related training but the importance of physical and aerobic fitness.

     Our mission is to provide a competitive baseball experience to youths between the ages of 9-18 that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, positive coaching instruction and a respect for and an enjoyment of the game of baseball.

     Our organization will provide coaches that adhere to the rules and regulations set forth in the Positive Coaching Alliance, organize a club-wide winter training program and provide an administrative infrastructure that will oversee the running of the club.

     Our teams will play a regular travel season; participate in tournaments and a structured indoor winter training program in addition to the usual seasonal training.

     Our coaches will balance player development goals with competitive sportsmanship on and off the field, create a positive culture of team success and have previous baseball coaching experience.

     Our players will exhibit good sportsmanship on and off the field, respect all players and coaches on the team and communicate issues including playing time concerns personally with the coaches at appropriate times.

     Our parents will allow players to be the primary source of communication with coaches, support coaches with playing time decisions and positively support all players on the team.
